Architecture and Design studio creating interiors and furniture all handmade in bamboo at our workshop - Norway and Mallorca. In early 2016, Kine Ask Stenersen and Kristoffer Eng embarked on a transformative journey by founding Ask og Eng studio. Their story began with a simple desire to create sustainable solutions, starting with building their first kitchen in their apartment. Drawn to the beauty of bamboo—a material discovered by Kristoffer during an architectural project—Kine’s background in environmental sustainability combined seamlessly with her love for interior design. With no prior experience in construction, they embraced the challenge of making their own kitchen in bamboo and quickly fell in love with crafting beautiful pieces for their home. This initial venture blossomed into more than just kitchens; as they awaited the arrival of their first child, they built another stunning bamboo kitchen, and the brand was formed! Starting with a workshop in the garage, which soon expanded to take over their entire home. Fast forward ten years, and Ask og Eng has evolved significantly from those early days. Today, they offer not only bespoke kitchens but also bathrooms, storage solutions, and handcrafted furniture & have several immersive showspaces throughout Europe, and a thriving workshop in Norway. While also undertaking many bespoke interior architecture projects around the globe, which have been featured in design books and magazines. Their commitment to sustainability shines through every creation—emphasising traditional craftsmanship paired with transparent manufacturing practices free from toxic materials.
