About Asociación de Fabricantes de Material Eléctrico - AFME
AFME is a national not-for-profit professional organization which covers the various subsectors of the electrical industry. In fact, it is the only organization in Spain where activities of the various branches of the electrical industry come together. Since its foundation in 1982, AFME has provided a structure that makes it possible to implement a wide range of services and activities which benefit the Sector in general and its Members in particular. Since its creation, the number of members has grown from 24 to the more than 140 companies that currently make up the Association, which represent 90% of the Spanish Low and Medium Voltage sector's turnover. Its active presence within several national and international bodies confer it with a solid position and optimal representation of Spanish industry as well as great prestige and influence. Its three divisions, which are formed by a team of specialist professionals, enables the Association to provide a suitable response to the Sector's needs nationally as well as internationally and keep it directly connected to all levels involved. OUR MISSION is to defend the leadership of the Electrical Manufacturers on matters involving standardization, laws and certification as well as to support its national market and promote the growth of its exports through our services.
