The ASP story started in 1996, when International Hair Cosmetics Ltd. UK, created and launched the premium haircare brand Affinage Salon Professional, which following a re-brand, is now known as ASP Luxury Haircare. Initially, the company’s product range, targeted at haircare professionals and salons, comprised a line of permanent hair colour, but was soon expanded exponentially, to also include the high-end, luxury consumer market. New product ranges included tone-on-tone and fashion colours; permanent waves specialist highlighting systems; bleaching powders; shampoos; conditioners and styling products. All these products were formulated in-house, by a dedicated team based at the ASP Research and Development Laboratory, in Italy. Over the past 25 years, the company has continually invested in the development of innovative, technology-driven products that are trusted and used worldwide by discerning consumers and hairdressing professionals. In this time, ASP has grown substantially, and its products are now available in over 50 countries. It has headquarters and training facilities based both in the UK and the USA, where ASP is one of the country’s fastest growing haircare brands. From day one, education and innovation have been at the core of the company’s brand proposition and this ethos has been constant, including through the re-brand transition from Affinage to ASP. The ASP brand continues to motivate and inspire salon professionals, listens to its customers’ requirements and processes feedback through an open dialogue. This close relationship with the trade instils confidence in the brand’s luxury haircare product portfolio and helps ensure that ASP products continue to exceed expectations. In addition, ASP has made a commitment to reduce its environmental impact, and is continually researching ways to incorporate sustainability into its products.
