During my tenure as a VFX supervisor (show side, vendor side and in-house), I noticed a problem; Overseas vendors will say “yes” and promise the world, but rarely did any of them live up to their promises. It seemed common in our experience that once you found a great vendor who did what they said they could do and deliver on time they would become too busy to take on work, and you would have to start over again. Putting the project into jeopardy that you could ill afford. In response to this, I was inspired to create The Assassins Guild, an outsource management for all VFX Outsource needs, Roto/paint/Tracking, focused on ensuring your projects are managed here with North American sensibilities but still retain the overseas cost benefits. We rely on a stable of curated and pre-approved vendors with whom we have worked in the past to ensure you are being taken care of from turn over to delivery. Given our close working relationships with these vendors we know exactly what their manpower looks like, plus their strengths and weaknesses and can easily load balance your projects to make sure they are being taken care of most efficiently, all without you having to lift a finger.
