About Association EEPA

Distributors of Electronics Association EEPA unites largest producers and importers of electric and electronic equipment, batteries and accumulators. The main aim of the organisation is to fulfil the waste management obligations of its members stated in the legislation of the EU and the Republic of Lithuania. The association was established in 2006 by the members of INFOBALT. On the behalf of producers and importers, this non-profit organisation organises the collection and management of waste of electronic devices, batteries and accumulators. Today, EEPA unites the largest distributors, producers and wholesalers of electronics and computing and trade chains in the country, which release more than 1/3 of the batteries sold nationwide and more than 2/3 electric and electronic equipment sold in the country. Activities of the association: • Toll-free collection of electric and electronic equipment, batteries, accumulators, gas discharge lamps (hereinafter "waste") in the territory of Lithuania; • Organisation of the management system of waste released to the market by the members of Association; • Association represents the interests of its members in the authorities and participates in the law-making processes; • Registration of its members in compliance with the order set by the Government or its authorized institution; • Submits waste management reports in compliance with the order set by the Government or its institutions; • Guarantees that the annual waste management tasks by the members of the Association would be performed; • Provides free consultations for the members of the Association regarding waste management; • Spreads information and educates the society on waste sorting and management.
