History: The Association of B.Eng Naval Architects and Marine Engineers is founded in July 1977, creating at that moment the Branch of the Southern Spain. It started with an office in his own School of Naval Engineering, and it works until March 1994, when the COPITN with great effort opens office in the current direction. Main Functions of the C.O.P.I.T.N.: Project Record Sheets: The main function of the project record sheets is verification and authentication of signatures with public and private institutions, thus complying with the legal requirements in the regulations. Legal Defense of the Members: The legal adviser of the College, as well as consultation service covers the legal defense of the members in all kinds of lawsuits deriving from the profession. Liability Insurance: For members not less than 500,000 euros for ship design (B.O.E. number 22, January 25, 2003). Management of Naval and Industrial Projects: Development to detailed designs, construction support, transformations, stability calculations, damage evaluation, site manager certification, etc... Cooperation with Public Institutions and Companies: Autonomy Governments. Other functions: Cooperation with Universities: University of Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering, study plans development, scholarships for internships, etc ... Employment Opportunities for Members: Cooperation agreements with national and international companies (recruiments), technical and administrative assistance. Training: Welding Inspection, Electricity Naval Platforms Control Systems, CAD Design Courses, Master in Occupational Health, advanced English classes, etc...
