Association of Biomedical Research. We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization working to improve biomedical research practices, innovate funding methods for research labs, initiate the next step for the upcoming generation of scientists, and facilitate public interaction with the scientific community. As we grow our association, these are the goals that focus our core value system, to champion all that science represents. The future we see is one where we can foster all that scientists have to offer, for the sake of all whom biomedical research touches. We believe in statistically rigorous and transparent science: With the size of datasets increasing and the competitive scientific landscape producing an accelerating amount of results, it often appears as if we have more data than insight in the sciences. This has been especially misleading due to a lack of reproducibility and inaccurate effect sizes in the biomedical sciences. It is increasingly more common that scientific results do not reflect a genuine association that is free of chance and biases (either statistical or interpretive). We seek to promote and advance research that strives for original, rigorous, high impact studies, with a strong emphasis on quality over quantity.
