About Association Of Women Construction Workers Of America Inc
AWCWA educates women, minorities, veterans, and justice-involved individuals in underserved communities to get into the construction and related industries. Our goals include educating the community about Clean energy, connecting them to workforce programs, and exploring funding opportunities for local initiatives. We advocate by creating job readiness transitional life skills economic development programs, specializing in workforce development and workplace oversight. Our programs provide opportunities to work with both union and non-union employers, offering pre-apprenticeship training to equip individuals with the skills needed for the construction industry. As a Union Affiliated Direct Entry Provider with New York State DOL and a Course Provider for DOB, our vision is to offer supportive networks to help our members build an economic nest egg for their future.
