About Assomela

ASSOMELA is the Italian Association of apple producers. This cooperative, born in 1997, groups together around 75% of Italy’s apple production and 20% of European apple production and is positioned as a major player on a national, European and international level. Assomela’s members are among the biggest apples producers in Europe and export to more than 80 different countries. Our mission: • To promote the production and consumption of apples through informative and promotional initiatives. • To promote and sustain the opening of new markets and to follow the issues related to export. • To coordinate the activities of our members in the research, innovation and technical assistance sectors. • To collect and organize produc- tion and consumption statistics. • To represent the interests of producers with regard to national and European authorities. Together with this kind of activities, Assomela creates common positions and solutions for its' members.
