About Astaara Technology
Astaara Technology is a Singapore Company specialized in the manufacturing of Leak Detection Instruments specially developed to detect leaks in flexible packaging for the Food, Pet Care & Cosmetic Industries. We are using the only method suitable for this application, “Flow Measurement at a Constant Pressure”, as instruments using pressure drop do not work on products whose volume changes during the test. In addition to extremely accurate and reliable micro-leak detection (from 5 microns), Astaara products offer unique advantages: 1/ Altitude simulation: we have developed a test to measure the effects of altitude on flexible packaging. With the AlphaLab, test the resistance of your packaging up to 20,000 feet, discover at which altitude it starts leaking. This simulation is exclusive to Astaara. 2/ Accurate measurements: when leak tests are currently performed on products where there is little space inside the package between the product and the film (headspace), the hollow needle used by our competitors gets regularly stuck in the product and clogs very frequently, and the results are not reliable. Astaara has developed and patented a unique perforation method that prevents this blockage: the AlphaTower. 3/ Cost savings: because we accurately measure the pressure at which packaging starts to leak, manufacturers can choose the most suitable packaging material for their product, and make substantial savings by selecting a film that is not too thick and therefore too expensive. 4/ Automation: the AlphaPro manufactured by Astaara is today the one and only way to AUTOMATICALLY perform sample leak detection on flexible packaging without any human intervention. Food, Pet Care & Cosmetic Manufacturers are now able to automatically manage leak detection and analyze immediate digital tests results with the AlphaPro.
