About Astir X Winery

We at ASTIR X, living and breathing on our hallowed historic land of Messinia and Peloponnese, have always believed that our ‘children’, our wines, are our ambassadors for our land, the means by which our tradition will reach every corner of the globe. We strive to impart in our wines the character of Greek and international varieties which thrive in our region and and they, in turn, narrate through their labels our country’s marvellous stories. Thus, Mati Fortuna has wedded Greek and international varieties while telling us about the powers of the Blessing Eye. Faré Rebels tells of how the flame of the Greek Revolution of 1821 was lit in Kalamata (Pharae to us locals), showing off the Queen of the Peloponnese varieties, while the Fare conjures up Messinia everywhere. Our Æar (spring in Greek) smiles at us with its rich aromas, reminding us that we dream of that season in Kalamata. In Vs Narcissus we go head to head with the well-known myth, and we undoubtedly give it its well-rounded Greek wine character which it deserves. Anima acts as a kind of salvation amongst us.
