At learning environments across the country, students engage in ASU Local’s signature experiences, where we nurture belonging, resilience and in-demand skills. As part of ASU Local’s in-person, close-knit student community, success coaches guide students and help them navigate every step of the college journey. Students learn a range of essential skills – from how to confidently manage coursework and obtain tutoring to internship attainment and professional development that can be applied to their lives and career. The program emphasizes both mentorship from coaches and peer-to-peer connections, empowering students to grow their network while developing the knowledge and capacity to thrive in today's competitive job market. We have embedded this core design philosophy in every location: ASU California Center in downtown Los Angeles, the ASU Barbara Barrett and Sandra Day O’Connor Washington Center in Washington, D.C., and Arizona Western College in Yuma, Arizona. Through an innovative hybrid model, ASU Local also provides students with the flexibility to access all coursework online, 24/7, through ASU Online.
