About Aşure Netherlands
Our journey began in Istanbul, bringing together professionals from diverse backgrounds and cultures to exchange ideas and craft the finest architectural and design solutions. In 2014, we officially established Aşure to extend this collaborative culture globally, ensuring our philosophy influences every location in which we operate. Over the years, our workshops and studies have shaped us into more than just an architectural and design firm—we have become a movement that embraces a unique perspective on life and integrates it into every project we undertake. The story of Aşure traces back to 4100 BC, to the legend of Noah's Ark. As the floodwaters began to recede and food supplies dwindled, Noah combined the last remaining ingredients aboard the ark into a single pot. The result was a nourishing and delicious dish known as AŞURE, which sustained everyone until they reached land. Similarly, Aşure Netherlands was founded in 2014 with the vision of blending diverse talents, perspectives, and disciplines to create a perfect architectural synthesis. Just as Aşure is a harmonious mixture of ingredients, our philosophy is rooted in the belief that the best architectural and design solutions emerge from the integration of cultures, materials, and sustainable practices. Inspired by the essence of Aşure, we embrace transformation—turning historic landmarks into vibrant residential spaces, reimagining empty lots into dynamic living environments, and designing functional spaces that resonate with those who inhabit them. It is based on the concept of biophilia, which suggests that humans have an innate tendency to seek connections with nature and natural elements. Biophilic design is an architectural and interior design approach that seeks to strengthen the connection between humans and nature within built environments. And thats what we are trying to achieve with our community.
