About Atelier Belge

Atelier Belge is a collection of practical design objects that adapt to different spaces and the user’s changing needs. With our modular design approach, we challenge how objects are perceived. Our unique and colourful designs are inspired by people’s needs and their personal aesthetics. Our modular systems can be assembled in different configurations with varying heights and widths. The great advantage is that they can be adapted and rearranged at any time. The subdivision into smaller elements makes it easy to add extra items at a later date. The Atelier Belge modular design solution was born and embarked on a quest to find versatile solutions to basic human needs. Designs that evolve with our clients and last a lifetime. All dimensions are therefore based on the principle of the golden section or the Fibonacci sequence. This forms a solid rationale and ensures a balanced whole, regardless of the configuration. -- Atelier Belge is located in Wechelderzande, a small village in the district of Lille, near Antwerp. Our designers and skilled craftsmen work as a team in tranquil surroundings, surrounded by nature. Everything we make in our workshop is designed to last: we don’t cater to contemporary design trends and only work with ethically sourced materials from the best European manufacturers. -- We love the natural warmth and tactility of wood and the character it lends to a design. To thank nature for this gift, we are investing in reforestation projects where our wood is sourced and in other critical locations. To give something back to nature and the community we work together with OneTreePlanted, an environmental charity that is dedicated to create a healthier climate and protect biodiversity by planting trees.
