About Atelier Shan
Atelier Shan is a Hong Kong design studio founded by Ketty Shan, a French Polynesian designer. After several years of practice at a major design firm in Hong Kong and completing the first Soho House in Asia as an in-house principal architect, she created Atelier Shan: a collaborative studio focused on exploring flexible, adaptative spaces for the modern way of living - working - consuming. As a response to extremely high-priced real estate and intense pace of working/living in Hong Kong, Atelier Shan proposes flexible, multi-faceted spaces, honouring both the site and its end user. Working closely with local artisans and furniture makers, each project results from a subtle alchemy between the raw, natural and cultural contexts.
