Atenta came to existence out of care, commitment, life and love experience. We are all relationships ally and here to provide couples therapy and individual counselling to Melbourne clients, honouring the diversity of this society. Culture shapes our expectations with regards to relationships and intimate partners and romanticises the prospects of meeting a "perfect match" but offers little support in terms of growing sound and lasting relationships. How can counselling help? A lot of research has been done on relationships, in lab and real-life conditions. Researchers have analysed what makes couples successful and what leads to disappointments, hurt, and separation. After decades of data analysis and observations, we are wiser and better equipped with knowledge and insights that help clients understand their relationship’s challenges and then gently replace the unhelpful patterns with insights and skills that, if used consistently and willingly, will bring the couple closer again.
