About Atesian Properties

Atesian Properties is a family owned, third generation real estate property management, leasing and development company that originally started in the early 1930s, by its founder, Howard Atesian, Sr. Through it’s over 91 year history, with the addition in the late 1970s of its current President, Howard P. Atesian, Jr. with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Wayne State University, it has successfully transitioned from its beginnings with hotels and apartment buildings in Detroit, through land development, real estate syndications, and Florida resort condominium development and construction. With the additions of Darren P. Atesian in 2000 with a Bachelor Degree from the University of Montana in Business Management Information Systems, and Ara J. Atesian in 2002 with a Bachelor Degree from Michigan State University in Business Marketing, it has allowed Atesian Properties to expand, today now specializing in the repurposing, development, leasing and management of multi-tenant commercial office, retail and industrial buildings. Though still a comparatively small company, it currently owns, leases, and manages 20 prime locations in Michigan totaling over approximately 400,000 square feet. These buildings are located in the central downtown business districts of Birmingham, Royal Oak, and Rochester, as well as on main thoroughfares in Huntington Woods, Berkley, Troy, Waterford, and Petoskey. Atesian Properties continues to actively pursue opportunities to expand the company’s holdings with new projects that will match their portfolio objectives.
