About Athol Credit Union

We were founded in 1930 as a member-owned, not-for-profit credit union with the goal of providing the highest quality banking products at the best possible prices, delivered with professional, one-on-one personal service. In 2015, we were designated as a Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) by the U.S. Treasury, allowing people within our communities better access to affordable homeownership, to more reliable transportation, and to much needed checking account products. Today we have almost 6,500 members. Our mission is to build wealth and create economic opportunities for the individuals, families, and businesses within the communities we serve, throughout their various life and financial stages, by offering exceptional products, service, and fiscal education at every interaction. Relationships with the community and the credit union’s members are at the core of our operations. Our mission means we’re responsive to the financial challenges everyone faces that may cause damaged credit, payment problems or even the ability to buy a dependable car to get back and forth to work. As a community development credit union, we provide a suite of exceptional products and services, including purchase and rehab mortgages, dependable car loans and affordable checking accounts. The core of our mission is providing people with the ability to improve their lives. It also has a positive impact on the financial health of the entire community.
