About Atime Works
Atime Works is a creative agency and production company specialising in mission & vision filmmaking delivering on a social purpose. The work is a mix of high-end commercial live action and visceral 2D animation. We work with a roster of filmmakers and much of the animation is created by the brilliant Cub Studios who are frequent creative partners. Atime Works is run by Yoav Segal who is an award-winning filmmaker, designer and creative director. Inspired by his grandfather’s organization of the Battle of Cable Street, and his fabulous re-telling of the story, much of his animation and film work has focused on social activism and the power of story to shape and change the world we live in. His work has been seen at the National Theatre, Sadler's Wells, the Eden Project, Stratford Circus, the BBC, Sky Arts, Wembley Stadium and at a host of global film and music festivals. He was the winner of the Arts Foundation Awards for 'Video and Performance' in 2015. Yoav was Founding Creative Director of RightsInfo (now EachOther) - a social media project bringing human rights understanding to the public (winner of the Plain English Award and D&AD Impact Promise Finalist). The RightsInfo 'What are Human Rights' animation was official selection at Annecy film festival. Yoav also curated a 'youth engagement' strand at the London Festival of Education. Yoav advises NGOs and charities on their creative output, notably Hope not Hate, Worldskills, Clearly and The Great Get Together, and has directed global CSR film campaigns and commercial output for blue-chip companies - including Experian social action and brand films and Dulux innovation and sustainability projects. He has also directed broadcast TV commercials and adverts for the NHS, Calor Gas, the FSA and the Welsh Assembly. He is a long-term key-volunteer at Crisis and has been a visiting lecturer, facilitator and artist, at the University of Surrey, Met Film and UCL/IOE amongst others.
