The three focus areas of the Atlanta 1996 Centennial Foundation are: ● Global Health & Wellness ● Education & Training ● Environment & Conservation The Atlanta 1996 Centennial Foundation will, when feasible, promote Peace & Reconciliation issues within its 3 focus areas. The Atlanta 1996 Centennial Foundation will join local, national, and international partners to ensure the greatest impact and sustainability of activities in each of its 3 focus areas. In 1993, Forging New Tomorrows (FNT), an Atlanta based international non-profit organization was established to implement a Post War Rehabilitation & Development Program in Rwanda http://ase-usa.com/mission/pwrdp.php in partnership with the Ministries of Health, Defense and the Rwanda Office of Tourism and Wildlife Conservation (ORTPN). On July 1, 2012, Forging New Tomorrows (FNT) officially became the Atlanta 1996 Centennial Foundation (ATL96 Foundation). Since 1996, Prince ALBERT II of Monaco has served as the Honorary Chair of FNT now the Atlanta 1996 Centennial Foundation, and since 2001 both Ambassador Andrew YOUNG and Dr. Marc-Daniel GUTEKUNST have served at the Co-Chairs. In 2001, the DeKalb County Government and the Atlanta 1996 Centennial Foundation established the Atlanta 1996 International Training Center (AT96 ITC). In 2007, the ATL96 ITC became DeKalb County’s Sports Authority.
