Atlantic Power Transmission (APT), a Blackstone Infrastructure Partners company, is dedicated to connecting U.S. offshore wind power to onshore load centers. We deliver global and local experience in successful planning, permitting, financing, constructing, and operating some of the most complex and essential underground and subsea transmission infrastructure projects. APT believes in providing world-class solutions backed by an unmatched team of industry-leading professionals and deep-rooted relationships with diverse stakeholders. We are committed to safety, community project support, and local workforce development. APT is currently focused on providing transmission to facilitate New Jersey’s ambitious buildout of 7,500MW of offshore wind energy. APT’s project will provide an electric super-highway to bring offshore wind power to the people of New Jersey, all while avoiding unsightly beach crossings and remaining invisible to the public. APT is deeply focused on New Jersey citizens’ needs. As such, our the project provides cost certainty through an unprecedented fixed rate approach, ensuring a low year 1 ratepayer impact. APT is the preferred partner of New Jersey labor and has formally created the New Jersey Union Coalition, which includes the Eastern Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters, the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 825, the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 25, the Iron Workers Local 399, and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 456.
