ATLAS is an acronym: Allied Theatre Legacy Artists & Supporters. Our region is saturated in a rich theatre history and tradition of which many are unaware or take for granted. As exciting new approaches, ideas, and visions take shape, we feel a simultaneous sense of urgency to steward the work, stories, programs, and contributions of those who have gone before, on whose shoulders we all stand as we reach toward new innovations. In short, like the Titan from Greek mythology, we seek to raise a sheltering sky of protection over the precious and irreplaceable legacy assets of theatre in our region, because the past informs the present and shapes the future. ATLAS Partnership is not a new theatre; rather, we work together with existing professional theatres and leverage shared community resources to achieve the greatest impact.
