About AUC - School of Continuing Education
Established in 1924, the School of Continuing Education (SCE) at AUC celebrates its 100 years of lifelong learning and continuing education in 2024 with a broad range of offerings. Today, SCE is one of AUC’s six schools. SCE is a leading school of continuing education in Egypt and the region. It is accredited by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET), which is based in the United States. SCE uses accredited continuing education units (CEUs) as the standard unit of measurement of individual participation in all noncredit continuing education programs offered. SCE’s mission is to improve the employability of and provide lifelong learning to our participants by extending the resources of the University to Egypt and beyond. Our programs are designed for learners who are seeking to promote their careers, to enhance their professional qualifications, and to enrich their lives. The range of SCE’s outreach is considerable attracting approximately 20,000 learners per year in all of its programs and offerings. SCE strives to offer a range of educational opportunities that meet the needs and lifestyles of our diverse learners. Our highly regarded continuing education programs are available in a variety of face-to-face and blended formats and flexible schedules during the day, evenings, weekends and intensive institutes all throughout the year. SCE’s main drive is being responsive to market needs. The school is a needs-driven business that conducts needs assessments at all times and works to identify and understand clients’ desires and requests, and use this information to develop new products and services.
