About Auditory Verbal UK
At Auditory Verbal UK, we want to see a world where all deaf children have the same opportunities in life as hearing children. Auditory Verbal UK is an award-winning national charity that helps babies and young children with permanent hearing loss to listen and talk. Through Auditory Verbal therapy (AVT), our listening and spoken language specialists (LSLS Cert AVT®) coach parents to enable their children to listen, talk and develop the lifelong communication and social skills they need to thrive at school and beyond. We offer internationally accredited training in Auditory Verbal therapy for early intervention professionals and work in partnership with a wide range of organisations to raise expectations for deaf children. We work with families and professionals from across the UK at our centres in London and Oxfordshire to create a sound future for deaf children throughout the country. We also offer online sessions for families and provide online training. Our Vision Our vision is that all deaf children have the same opportunities in life as their hearing peers. Our Mission We want to raise expectations and outcomes for deaf children. We work to increase awareness, understanding, and access to Auditory Verbal therapy by providing services directly to families and sharing our expertise with health and education professions so that many more families can access Auditory Verbal therapy close to where they live.
