About Aunty's House
Aunty’s House is a start-up social enterprise. Our mission is to end domestic violence community by community. The Aunty's House model for early intervention into DFV has been developed and iterated over almost two years of research, deep consultation with sector experts, and an intimate understanding of the lived experience of survivors. Domestic Violence is shifting from “a woman’s problem” to a community problem. Communities have both the willingness and capacity to participate in solving it. But - even as traditional DFV services struggle under the weight of increasing demand - there has not been a way to catalyse this resource and safely match it with those in need. Until now. By offering ‘breathing space’ along with professional wraparound services delivered by our partner NGOs, the Aunty’s House digital platform empowers a DFV sufferer to change her course from victim to survivor. It acts as a circuit breaker in violent relationships, and supports communities to say NO to violence. Welcome to Aunty’s House.
