About Aura Freedom International

Created in the name of gender equality, Aura Freedom is a grassroots, intersectional feminist organization that works to eradicate violence against women and human trafficking. We work with a diverse group of allies to achieve our goals and create long-lasting, systemic change. Through education, advocacy, research, training, movement-building, and survivor support, Aura Freedom has implemented sustainable and creative projects preventing and addressing gender-based violence and human trafficking in Canada and beyond. Aura Freedom International seeks to empower, support and educate women and children worldwide. Through grassroots programs and sustainable projects with like-minded organisations, we seek to eradicate the atrocities inflicted upon women and girls in both the developed and developing world. Aura Freedom International is a non-profit, non-governmental and non-religious organisation. Our emphasis is on investing in women and girls and we strive to provide them with an opportunity to develop self-esteem, self-confidence, independence and a sense of security whether physical, emotional, psychological or spiritual. Our primary focus is to go to the places where women and girls are most vulnerable and establish partnerships with like-minded organisations in order to provide the essentials for a life of dignity and inclusiveness. We are not aligned with any religious or political group and seek to cooperate with individuals, businesses and organisations from all backgrounds in our efforts to educate, empower and support those in need. We promote action for systemic change and sustainable development through solidarity and partnership, by nurturing community, and by maintaining an integral, vital and stable organisation. We also seek to build bridges between communities in both developing and developed nations in order to engender a sense of global community and global interdependence.
