About Aurora Building Performance
Aurora Building Performance provides consulting and testing to assist in building high performance buildings. These are buildings with improved comfort, energy efficiency, water conservation, minimal indoor air pollutants, durable materials, and require low maintenance. Perhaps of equal value is we help interpret the varied “green building” codes in different building departments and strive to get the most value out of what ever the requirements dictate. In this capacity we provide GreenPoint Rating, a green building system developed by Build it Green, and HERS verifications. These include Blower Door, Duct leakage, and Quality Insulation Inspections. We also do HERS II audits which are careful evaluations of existing homes with the intent of developing cost effective measures to improve or reduce energy use.
