About Aurora Manufacturing

Our Mission is to set the standard in air fluidized therapy and make access to patient healing throughout the United States easier than ever. We manufacture these beds to be powerful enough to be used in the acute setting yet efficient enough to be placed in the home. We believe that this level of healing is necessary for those that suffer from the continuous cycle of pressure injuries. In 2005, the 3 founders set out to create the HydroAire AFT bed system. After nearly 20 years of serving facilities and DME companies in the US, they passed the baton to one of their Distributors to lead production and ingenuity to new frontiers. In April of 2025, David Cole became the owner of Aurora combining the efforts with Defy Therapeutics to continue to reach more healthcare providers and patients alike. The mission for both organizations is clear, to enable access to Air Fluidized Therapy to all patients in the US suffering from chronic wounds.
