For more than 30 years, Aurora Metro has been publishing an incredible range of diverse literature from British and international authors. Now a leading independent publisher, their list includes many award-winning books and work translated from over 20 languages. The company publishes fiction, non-fiction, drama, cookery and biographies with a specific interest in art, culture, technology, LGBT. The company runs a biennial competition for women novelists called The Virginia Prize for Fiction. Sister company delivers arts and education projects through the Aurora Metro charity (aurorametro.org), primarily to schools, libraries and community groups. A recent project was the successful campaign to raise £50,000 for a statue of Virginia Woolf in Richmond which was installed in November 2022.
