About Aurubis Beerse

Aurubis Beerse has close to 100 years of experience, resulting in state-of-the-art pyro- and hydrometallurgical processes, recycling complex secondary raw materials and refining them into new metals and metal products. Our ‘Furnace of Innovation’ and advanced technologies, invented and realized by our own engineers, gives Aurubis Beerse a unique worldwide position in recycling the most complex raw materials. Every year we consume about 350.000 tons of secondary raw materials and recover the metals, either as refined metal s.a. copper, tin and lead or as metal product s.a. nickel sulphate solution, zinc oxides and metal sludges. At the end of the processes we also produce iron-silicate granulates and clean minerals for building applications. All materials treated in Metallo find their way back to the supply chain without depositing. Health, safety and care for the environment are amongst our highest priorities. Aurubis Beerse combines technology and know-how to minimize the impact of its activities on people, environment and climate, in order to preserve natural resources and to build a bright future for the next generations. With our deep understanding and knowledge of the global scrap markets, we provide a solid basis for our service towards our suppliers and customers. Our raw materials are sourced through the entire supply chain, from metal merchants, scrap and waste processors to the industry itself.
