About Austin Davis Biologics (EquiSal)
Austin Davis Biologics (ADB), is the service provider of the novel saliva test (EquiSal) for detecting tapeworm infections in horses. This includes manufacture of a unique horse saliva collection device with volume indicator. The testing service was launched in 2014 providing to veterinary practices, SQPs and horse owners in the UK and EU. The small redworm blood test and the tapeworm blood test are ADB’s serological commercial services. The small redworm blood test was launched in 2019 following development with the Moredun Institute. The tapeworm blood test has been available alongside the saliva testing service. ADB is very active in equine parasitology research, conducting in-house research as well as collaborating with academics worldwide to investigate equine parasite infections together with the application of diagnostics for best practice worm control. New veterinary diagnostics are also in development as part of ADBs research pipeline.
