About Australasian PASS Alliance

The Australasian PASS Alliance (APA) was established in June 2024 to strengthen and support the Peer Assisted Study Sessions (PASS) and peer learning community across Australasia. APA brings together a team of internationally Accredited Certified Trainers with over 100 years of combined experience in delivering, training, and researching PASS. Our mission is to provide high-quality training, professional development, and strategic support for peer learning programs grounded in evidence-based practice. Through regional collaboration, capacity-building, and knowledge-sharing, we aim to foster excellence in peer learning and contribute to student success and retention across diverse institutional contexts. APA operates under a distributed leadership model, with a network of State and Regional Convenors and Committees supporting Certified Trainers. Together, they deliver online and face-to-face community catch-ups, Accredited PASS Supervisor and Advanced PASS training, the National PASS & Peer Learning Leader Awards, and the annual PASS & Peer Learning Conference. APA is the authorised regional representative of the International Center for Supplemental Instruction/PASS, based at the University of Missouri–Kansas City, USA.
