About Australian Ice Hockey League

The flagship league for ice hockey in Australia, the Australian Ice Hockey League (AIHL) is a not for profit organisation and is comprised of 10 teams from across the country. The AIHL showcases over 100 regular season games annually from April through September. AIHL.TV is the league's very own subscription based Streaming Platform developed to showcase exclusive coverage of AIHL Games. This is the only way to watch AIHL games from 2023. KEY FEATURES INCLUDE 130+ Games per season. All Finals Games. Available in every country enabled by Amazon Web Services (AWS) global network. Exclusive Content throughout the year. Teams include: The Adelaide Adrenaline, the Brisbane Lightning, the CBR Brave, the Central Coast Rhinos, the Perth Thunder, the Melbourne Ice, the Melbourne Mustangs, the Newcastle Northstars, the Sydney Bears and the Sydney Ice Dogs. The 2023 season is proudly supported by the Skaters Network, Sportradar and Donate Life. The AIHL will be announcing a new Finals format. The Goodall Cup, named after John Edwin Goodall, has been competed for annually since 1909 and is one the longest-standing ice hockey trophies in the world. While the AIHL was incorporated in 2000, Australia has a long history of ice hockey competitions. The first interstate league between New South Wales and Victoria was contested in the early 1900s. The AIHL attracts quality talent from across the world and plays a role in developing Australian talent, such as Nathan Walker, the first AIHL player to be drafted and play in the NHL.
