The mission of the AuSHS is to promote excellence in Australian Horticultural Science through the representation and development of the professional interests of members, the encouragement of innovation, science and technology in horticulture and the development of strong links to kindred associations both national and international. We will achieve our mission through the following objectives. -Encourage the scientific and scholarly study of horticulture -Advance the introduction of scientific principles and practices into horticulture -Promote the profession of horticultural science -Introduce and implement codes of management and ethics for the profession -Provide scientific and technical advice to government and industry organisations -Foster communication with the international society for horticultural science and other kindred societies both national and international
