About Australian Spy Museum

The Australian Spy Museum holds the largest private collection of genuine spycraft artefacts in the Southern Hemisphere. From Mata Hari to modern digital threats, our collection and talks deliver an intriguing, entertaining yet highly educational experience. Our mission - is the collection, preservation, sharing and education around the history of espionage, and evolution toward the modern threat landscape. Our vision - is an independent and permanent museum home for the collection. Meanwhile we'll work toward that goal by running educational talks to show "the art of the possible" and build a network of supporters. Our approach - is real-world - our physical artefacts make the intangible concepts behind modern threats like cyber attacks and disinformation more understandable to a wider audience. We are quietly patriotic people and believe in protecting democracy and our way of life. Our being private founders affords us greater freedom of movement (vs government staff), and we have invested heavily out of our own funds to build a world-class collection for the museum. It is our hope to not only build something that in its own right contributes back to society, but also that it has a multiplier effect - as a platform for research, and a (contextually-relevant venue) for cyber and industry events. Thank you for reading and we hope you enjoy our content, we look forward to meeting you at future events.
