Authentic Logistics, LLC. Launched on February 25th, the logistics brokerage company will concentrate their core customer base on metal, plastic and paper recycling businesses, areas which, because of their specialized nature, have historically been overlooked. In addition to their unique focus, Authentic Logistics will offer five types of truck services— container drayage, dry van, end dump, flatbed and intermodal— and has the clearance to cross borders with Canada and Mexico. The company is founded by Jordan Strauss who brings fifteen years of scrap metal brokerage experience to the table. Inspired by his father who was in the business for 45 years, Jordan began his career at Tube City IMS, one of the largest scrap brokers in the world. After seven and a half years there, he started his own company, JHS Metals Trading, and spent another seven and a half years trading metals before moving into a logistics role that serviced his metal trade customers. For the past three years, he has been working as a commission agent for USA Truck, both adding to his logistics expertise and helping him to further identify an opening within the industry that Authentic Logistics hopes to meet. “It is with pride that we treat our carriers and customers alike and provide top-notch customer service with unparalleled communication and experience to assure that all shipments are picked up and delivered when they are scheduled.
