About Autism Awareness Through Sport
Autism Awareness Through Sport has been started thanks to our founder's stepson, who has severe autism and is on the high end of the spectrum. It was watching some of the challenges he faces everyday, along with the general lack of awareness or understanding for those with autism the idea was formed with his love of sport. Our vision is to set up as a charity to either create a new Space or to transform a space in a semi rural location, into a multisensory leisure facility designed to provide a safe and creative environment for anyone in need of extra support and care. we believe over the years, the Centre will grow and evolve to provide more services, care and positive environments for individuals of all ages with learning disabilities, additional needs, dementia, physical disabilities and more – alongside their friends and families.
