About Autism Communities

Today, there are virtually no sustainable housing options for individuals with autism when they become adults. They simply "age out" of the system. Recognizing the significant shortage of homes where adults with autism can live, a group of dedicated individuals has united to help fulfill this critical need by establishing Autism Communities, a privately-controlled and funded 501(c)(3) not for profit organization. The mission of Autism Communities is to provide adults with autism a home in a vibrant, nurturing community-type setting. Further, it is the organization's goal that each resident can enjoy a fulfilling, healthy lifestyle in a safe environment while having access to social, recreational, educational and employment opportunities. Our first residents moved into their new home in Fall 2020.
