About Autism In Mind
At Autism in Mind (AIM), we are dedicated to supporting children and families affected by Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in the Greater Toronto Area. As a registered charity, AIM offers personalized, high-quality therapy, education, and family-centered support that empowers children, youth and adults with autism to reach their fullest potential. Our services include programs such as Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA), Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, a special education private school and vocational training. We work alongside families to create individualized, comprehensive care plans. We believe in every person’s potential, where every individual’s unique needs are met with compassionate, evidence-based strategies that foster independence, confidence, and social connection. At AIM, our goal is to make these services accessible, ensuring that children, youth and adults with autism thrive, and families feel supported every step of the way. How It All Started: The foundation of AIM began with just one child. When our Founder, Suki Choi first started her daycare business in Markham, she was approached by a family whose son had been on the government waitlist for autism therapy for four years. Moved by their situation, Suki organized a fundraiser. The response from the community and daycare parents was so generous that Suki knew she could do even more. This led to the establishment of Autism in Mind in 2011, which has grown significantly over the years. Today, AIM continues to expand its services, helping countless children, youth, adults and families, and striving to make a lasting impact across the Greater Toronto Area.
