The ABR is a brand new, innovative form of auto racing created by professional stuntmen for the non-professional, auto racing enthusiasts. Many of the same skills and techniques utilized in Auto Barrel Racing parallel those used by stuntmen when filming car chases for feature films and television shows. Anyone 16 years or older with a valid drivers license is eligible to compete in the ABR for a chance to win $5,000. To effectively compete in Auto Barrel Racing you must have the ability to pitch, slide, and power your vehicle around three 55 gallon barrels spaced 100 feet apart in a straight line. To make a qualified run each barrel must be circled in the opposite direction, and touching a barrel with any portion of your vehicle is an automatic disqualification. In the ABR there are no restrictions as to the type of vehicle used to compete, fuel-mixture or horsepower. “You 'Run What You Brung”. Dragsters against Drifters, Imports against Domestics.
