Autobell® was founded in Charlotte, NC, in 1969 by the late Charles “Charlie” Howard, and is still privately held and family-operated. Charlie had the vision to provide a high-quality car wash experience with the focus on the customer. Do that at a good value, and people would keep coming back. Charlie’s vision has not only survived, but it’s also thrived. Autobell® now has more than 3,000 highly-trained team members and washes nearly five million cars annually. Charlie also believed in what he called a community conscience. That’s why the entire company is committed to environmental protection and conservation, treating 100% and recycling up to 100% of our wash water through technologically advanced equipment.
