About AutoExec Games

We are a video game company that specializes in creating innovative gameplay with rich and unique universes. Our inspiration comes from old console games (such as Phantasy Star, Castlevania II, WonderBoy III, and even Cabbage Patch Kids for the Coleco Vision) and from even older PC games (such as Dark Omen, Wing Commander, Diablo, King's Quest, Star Control II, Joust, etc..). In our honest opinion, back in the day, every single game had its own unique gameplay. When you inserted a floppy disk and launched a game you hadn't played before, you never exactly knew what you were getting into. You had to learn how to play the game because you had no reference, and that's what excited us! Nowadays, we can say that this game is, for example, an RTS, but not that long ago, the only RTS games were Warcraft and Dune 2. These games, by their uniqueness, crafted a new game genre, and that's what amazed us back then and still amazes us today. We don't want to clone other games and simply change the context or the visuals, we want to create a NEW game, with never before seen mechanics and game rules. That's why the studio is called AutoExec Games, it was a command line that you had to enter to start a game back in the old days (you had to type c:\autoexec.bat, and even sometimes edit it or the config.sys file to try to free more RAM to be able to launch the game). So to sum it all up, our goal is to create something fresh, something different, and something that old gamers like us will find challenging and, above all, fun! Founded in 2017, AutoExec is located on the South Shore of Montreal. The CEO of the company is Vincent Blanchard, industry veteran, co-founder of Artifice Studio and co-designer/producer of the game Sang-Froid - Tales of Werewolves, which sold more than 300,000 copies worldwide.
