About Autorola Software Development

Autorola Software Development is part of Autorola Group, where we develop backend and frontend applications for the automotive industry. We are organized into three backend teams and a frontend team. The developers have a large variety of educational backgrounds and seniority. We develop for the three business units Marketplace, INDICATA & Solutions, and our technical director is Claus Christensen. At Autorola we like diversity. The educational background is important, but the personalities of the employees are important too. We aim to be the best developers as well as the best colleagues, we care for each other and make an effort to participate in social events with all of our colleagues. We work together in an agile frame implemented from SAFe as the overall framework for our work actions. Tasks are planned and described in JIRA and knowledge is shared in our internal platform Confluence. We have a wide collaboration across the teams, where you are able to influence your own scheduling. We aim to have an informal perspective on errors, that we deal with by learning from them as well as from each other. The backend technologies are: · Java · Spring Framework · We use Spring MVC for applications without a dedicated frontend · Hibernate · Oracle SQL · Tomcat · Amazon Web Services The frontend technologies are: • Angular • Bootstrap • Node.js • Typescript, Javascript • HTML 5, CSS 3, SCSS • Karma / Jasmine • HTTP / REST Applications are hosted at Amazon Web Services, throughout the world, and we use a long range of services such as: • Elastic Beanstalk for servers • Databases as services • Amazon MQ • S3 We build and test our applications with a classic setup of: • Bitbucket • Maven • Nexus • SonarQube • Jenkins The complete platform consists of approx. 100 applications, that are organized into Dev, Staging and Prod environments.
