About Avellar

I am a lawyer who helps small businesses, startups, and nonprofits with contracts, agreements, and business/nonprofit formation and governance. After working for an international law firm in New York, I decided I wanted to make a positive, local impact, so I opened my own law firm in Seattle. I earned my BA from Tulane University and my JD from the University of Chicago Law School. I have lived all over the US and am thrilled to call the PNW my home. Outside of work, I am on the boards of nonprofits Seattle REconomy and Meaningful Movies Project and I enjoy gardening, cooking, and outdoor activities with my spouse and two dogs.
