Avera Queen of Peace consists of several medical facilities dedicated to providing comprehensive health care in Mitchell, South Dakota and surrounding nineteen-county area. Avera Queen of Peace Hospital is equipped with the region's most advanced medical technology. We have the resources to meet virtually every health care need. Our staff - of over 45 physicians, serving in 17 specialties, nearly 800 employees and over 150 volunteers - approach health services with the dedication and the compassion that comes with Christian caring. Avera Queen of Peace Health Services is proud to be a member of the Mitchell, South Dakota community. We are the largest employer in Davison County due, in part, to the invitation of early Mitchell business leaders. Back around the turn of the 20th century they encouraged the Presentation Sisters to build a hospital to help take care of the community. Avera Queen of Peace is pleased to help make Mitchell a great place to call home!
