Aviation Business Continuity (ABC) was born from the preparations to open London Heathrow Terminal 5. Since 2007, we have grown and developed into the recognised provider for Operational Readiness, Baggage Resilience and system mitigations. With a wealth of experience, our team has unrivalled knowledge of building Standard Operating Plans, Business Continuity Plans, Business Impact Analysis, Crisis Interventions, Proving and Training packages. Our CEO Grant Thompson began a career in Aviation at Heathrow in 1991. He identified areas that required support and developed an agile business to provide a flexible resource pool to provide the support as and when needed. ABC has been an integral part of the airport’s growth, we understand its mechanics, and have a diverse and talented structure in place to develop in synergy with Heathrow Airport Ltd. Our vastly experienced Operational Readiness team provide: • Transition Management • Process Engineering • Proving Design and Delivery • Training Design and Delivery • Health and Safety • Project Launch • Project Management • Project interface, facility, operational, technical Our Resilience and Intervention teams consist of logistics operatives, drivers, and managers, who understand the live baggage environment and react proactively to maintain service and deliver bags on time, ensuring customer impact is minimal should a system fail. In the Summer of 2020, ABC secured the contract for Baggage Operations at Vancouver Airport (YVR). Against the backdrop of the global pandemic, our team collaborated with our North American partners to provide Baggage Operations designed to exceed the high standards set at Vancouver. Our extensive knowledge and expertise in the delivery of Baggage Operations has led to ABC expanding our services to include: • Baggage System Operations • Cart (Passenger Trolley) Logistics • Curbside Mobility Assistance • Integrated Operation Centre
