Avid is an on-site, high precision measurement service company that provides 3-dimensional measurement to manufacturers primarily in the automotive, power and aerospace industries. We use FARO’s Articulating Arm, High Density Scanner and Laser Tracker devices supported by Polyworks Software. Our laser trackers can measure up to 500 feet in one setup with high precision accuracy. As such, we have extensive experience with as-built inspections for large fabrications which include steam generators, heat exchangers and cooling units. Avid is an ideal support for leveling & alignment activity and a great fit for shutdowns, new installations, and repairs. We have helped companies re-align their plant transfer system components including carriers, lifts, carts, trollies, gates, conveyors, and rollers. We can insert ourselves right into the heart of your process, where the alignment of pins and nets is critical to mitigating variation which can arise out of welding, punching, piercing, cutting, and forming. These processes rely on components such as turntables, load/unload stations, slides, fixtures, gantries and end of arm tooling. We certify it all! Our more specialized services include the installation of engineering changes on carpet fixtures and facilitating the alignment and certification of sequencing racks. Do you need a CAD model? We can scan your existing components and provide usable data to reverse engineer your dies, prototypes and custom fabrications. Our high-density scanning service also allows us to provide inspection colour-mapping and conduct part overlays. Are you launching a new product?
