About Avionic General Partnership (B. Kawik – K. Kawik)
Avionic is a Polish aviation company with over 25 years of experience. Born out of a passion for flying, it has grown into a globally recognized brand. The company started by manufacturing glider trailers and soon became a certified supplier of composite aircraft components for renowned manufacturers, including Germany’s Extra Aircraft. Since 2004, Avionic has held the JAR-21G certificate, and since 2006, PART-21G, both confirming compliance with European aviation standards. A turning point came in 2017, when Avionic and the GAPR Agency acquired the production rights to the SZD 56-2 Diana 2 sailplane - one of the finest designs in Polish gliding history. Soon after, a modernized version, Diana 2 FES, was developed, featuring an electric front sustainer. The project was supported by EU funding and developed in cooperation with the Silesian University of Technology and Margański & Mysłowski Aviation Works S.A. To meet growing demand for 18-meter class sailplanes, Avionic and GAPR launched the design and production of a new glider, optionally equipped with electric propulsion. In the 2019 European Gliding Championships, Sebastian Kawa flew the Diana 3 to victory. Currently, Avionic is developing its most advanced project: the Diana 4 ER, a high-performance, self-launching glider. Its development engages leading experts in aerodynamics, design, simulation, and composite technologies. Prof. Krzysztof Kubryński is responsible for the aerodynamic concept, while Eng. Grzegorz Sadłek leads the engineering team. Through a combination of knowledge, engineering precision, and unwavering passion, Avionic is becoming a leader among the new generation of glider manufacturers.
