About Avon Construction

Avon Construction is a well-established regional civil engineering and construction contractor. Established in 2005 with the intention of taking the best systems and procedures of large contractors and applying them to smaller but equally technical or complex projects. Avon Construction has steadily grown to now deliver technically challenging projects up to a value of £2M. Covering all aspects of civil engineering and building work we have a particular focus on rail, footbridges, water, coastal and SANG (Suitable Alternative Natural Greenspace) construction as well as defence and airports. The company directors, Andy Pratten and Dave Butters, between them, have 50 years experience of civil engineering and building contracting. All our engineers are degree qualified and include chartered civil engineers and engineers working towards chartered status. Innovation is always important to us and throughout our past projects there are many examples of a pioneering approach being successfully implemented to solve a particular technical or practical challenge giving the client a cost effective solution. The company's integrated management system and procedures enable us to successfully manage projects and are in line with those of national contractors, based on the requirements of ISO 9001. Located alongside the River Avon at Ringwood in Hampshire, we are within easy reach of the M27 and M3 with access to London and the South East. Salisbury, Weymouth and the southwest are also readily accessible.
