Avon Corporation was established in 1979 as a Site and Specialty contractor. Our work involved parks and playgrounds, recreational facilities, hardscape projects and miscellaneous site work. Our capabilities expanded to include large retaining walls and storm water/drainage improvements and then the company grew again with projects for building additions, structural repairs and site improvements. Today, Avon Corporation is a multi-faceted general contractor which self performs most of our own work, as well as providing specialty services. We can build small buildings and additions from the ground up, handle large site projects, parks and trails, stream restorations, underpinning, earth excavation support and deep foundation improvements. Most of our ability can be attributed to our highly diverse personnel, which includes: carpenters, concrete finishers, masons, equipment operators, welders etc., thus allowing us to handle just about any project. We employ highly skilled subcontractors with whom we have developed long working relationship over the years to handle those tasks we do not perform with the same level of quality and confidence we expect. We take great pride in doing a good job, delivering projects on time and within budget. Our name and our reputation are our most prized assets. Avon Corporation performs the majority of our work with municipalities and government agencies. We also perform work with property managers, engineers, general contractors and selective structural repairs for homeowners. We are active in the entire Washington/Baltimore Metropolitan area. We can also perform work on the Eastern Shore, Delaware and West Virginia. We handle the small jobs to the several million dollar projects. We have licenses in all jurisdictions and bonding capacities to $8 million per single project.
